About Ephemera PhotosI started this project in July 2006 bearing in mind the short lifetime of the usual manmade products, artefacts, art objects, monuments, etc. Why should my photos have a different future? Some may argue that there are still some old traces humanity has left behind which we may want to include in our "wish list" for a holiday. I can only agree with them: not everything is dying, but - in case nature could have a slower alteration process - mankind is destroying or corrupting what others created. How many times did you say: "I missed
it!" or "was it really so?" Or you were just passing by blindful,
no matter the reason. You know - missing a nice sunset, your partner's birthday,
your colleague cheating... Therefore, I will periodically update this site by:

About the authorIn case you were wondering, I'm not a professional photographer. I'm an engineer, but I take photography seriously. My dad bought me my first camera in 1980. It was a Zenit E and it helped me very much in understanding the technical side of photography. I'm still working on the creative side... One of the most important things I've learned looking at other photographers'
works is that the person behind the release button is more important than the
equipment used. I've seen superb photos taken with pinhole cameras and it's
a well-known fact that neither Ansel Adams nor Henri Cartier-Bresson used today's
top technology! For the most curious of you:
